For 84 years, Dr. Harold Bergman lived a full, exciting, life as an: Academic, Maxillofacial Surgeon, Implant Specialist, Inventor, Entrepreneur, Pilot, Sailor, Rugby Player, and Self Help Writer.
In his autobiography, “If It Is Not, Immoral, Or Fattening, Say Yes”, he reveals his boring choices, life-threatening risks, devastating failures, thrilling successes, but more importantly how he rebounded onto his feet from each of those imposters and the lessons learned, and not worth repeating.
At 89, he now lives and anxiety-free–life on Gabriola Island, 20 miles from Vancouver, British Columbia. His new neighbors include a pair of bald eagles, a congregation of oyster catchers, a colonial pride of sea lions, a family of orcas and the occasional nomadic pod of Humpback whales.
His new calming, environment allows him to contemplate his past life, to see where he went wrong as well as right. These moments stimulate his life-long strengths, as a creative, out-of-the-box problem solver as well as imaginative, humorous, fiction writer. He is taking this opportunity to start writing Blogs again, to assess, update and provide insight, provide answers to, and offer opportunities for the present as well as the increasing chaos and obstacles facing most you.
