God made the earth suppling it with all creatures Great and
Small. Each had its strengths to become a Predator and each their
Achilles’ heel to fall Prey. At one time the smaller but stronger,
more voracious, carnivorous, Raptors, preyed on the larger, slower
moving plant eating Herbivores. As a tasty snack, the Raptors
could snack on the numerous, smaller apes and predecessors of
Homus Erectus.
When the 12-mile diameter asteroid hit the earth million years
ago, the resultant firestorm and clouds blanketed the world.
Sunlight failed to reach the earth. Plant growth failed. Herbivores
passed into extinction. Raptor predators faced extinction as their
food source dried up.
When Homo Erectus emerged from the morass, he became Prey
to faster packs of lions, wild dogs, hyenas and tigers. Seeking
fresh water, he ventured to the water’s edge, becoming Prey to
crocodiles and alligators.
Six million years ago, the brain of Homo Erectus began to grow
larger. He developed techniques, instruments, and weapons for
protection against his Predators.
Today, he no longer fears the Predator of yesteryear. With his
ability at concealing his strengths and cunning, he became the
Predator of the Predators, as well as his more devious, human
Prey. But the human Prey also has a brain, enabling him to bite
back.
